James Taylor Harwood, M.D., F.A.C.S (Retired)
The SurgOne, P.C. Board of Directors and General Membership as well as all his colleagues, thank Dr. Harwood for his many years of devoted service to SurgOne P.C. and to his patients and the community of South Denver.
Dr. Harwood is a native of Utah. He attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate studies, and attended the University of Utah College of Medicine. His residency in general surgery was completed at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver. He practiced in the south Denver metropolitan area since 1979, and has been active both in general surgery and trauma surgery. He was one of the founding member physicians of the Trauma Service at Swedish Medical Center. His professional interests included all areas of general surgery, including thyroid and parathyroid disease, breast surgery, hernia surgery, advanced laparoscopy including hiatal hernia surgery and laparoscopically assisted colon surgery, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and surgery of the liver and pancreas.
Dr. Harwood is married and has an adult son and daughter. He is interested in skiing, golf, tennis, music, and photography.
