We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy colorectal practice in Lone Tree. While prior experience in a surgical setting is preferred, it is not required. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and comfortable communicating with patients, families, and staff. Responsibilities include rooming patients, scheduling appointments and surgeries, answering and routing phone calls, updating medical records in an EMR system, obtaining prior authorizations, and assisting with minor in-office procedures. Applicants should have 2–3 years of medical assistant experience, strong communication and computer skills, and a high school diploma or GED, with CMA or BLS certification preferred.

The role primarily supports front desk responsibilities—including patient check-in, scheduling, insurance verification, and EMR documentation—while also assisting physicians with clinical duties such as rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, supporting minor procedures, and providing pre- and post-operative education. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of medical office experience, strong communication and organizational skills, EMR proficiency, and current Medical Assistant and CPR certifications. Surgical clinic experience is a plus.

SurgOne is a multi-specialty private surgical practice serving the Denver community for over 25 years, offering physicians the autonomy of private practice with comprehensive corporate support. The position involves providing comprehensive general surgery and acute care services, including patient evaluations, surgical procedures, trauma call coverage at a Level III Trauma Center, and continuity of care in both hospital and clinic settings.
